Abstract

Blended families can be considered as an example of the pluralization of family forms and are characterized by diverse and complex family structures. The aim of this article is to examine how family life is organized and what potential challenges family members may face. In addition to situating blended families within the broader spectrum of familial forms in Switzerland, the study outlines the characteristic profile of blended families within the context of contemporary family arrangements and highlights their societal significance in the context of social change.
