The prevalence of working from home has seen an increase as an infection control and occupational health measure during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. This paper delineates different forms of work from home or mobile working and reviews the current literature on the advantages and disadvantages of working from home. Using data from the Establishments in the Covid-19 Crisis survey, the paper outlines the prevalence of work-from-home during the pandemic, ist use as an infection control measure, the evaluation of work-from-home of companies, and it takes a look at the post-pandemic impact of working from home. It becomes clear that working from home will stick after the pandemic, especially in large companies. Finally, the challenges of a "multilocal" or "hybrid working world" for companies and employees are outlined.Downloads
