Night work and shift work represent a particular strain and stress. According to occupational science recommendations, the phase of working and resting against the biological sleep-wake rhythm should be as short as possible. As a preventive measure, a company in the metal and electrical industry has reduced night shifts for all affected employees, changed the flexible shift system to short forward rotation and compensates for additional strain with time off.Downloads
